If you wish to copy a large number of files from a removable device to your computer, you may spend a considerable amount of time copying specific file types to different folders. Ashampoo Media Sync can automate the entire operation. Once you make the necessary configurations, which shouldn't take more than a minute, you will only need to plug in your device and your files will be copied and sorted automatically. The application is capable of identifying different file types and it can organize them according to this characteristic.

The application is free to try for 10 days, without any restrictions, but you can request an extended trial. Installing Ashampoo Media Sync is a quick process, which does not involve any complex settings. You can use the application on Windows XP or any later edition, without meeting any special requirements or sacrificing too many resources.

While working in the background, Ashampoo Media Sync will react automatically when you plug in a removable device, like a mobile phone or a USB flash drive. The application will "remember" each device you connect to your computer. Furthermore, each device can be configured separately. You can set the application to synchronize specific file types from specific devices, to a location of your choice.

Devices can be configured quickly, by following a wizard's instructions. The application is capable of synchronizing video and audio files, images and documents and it allows you to select which of these file types to synchronize. When your selection is complete, you may choose a destination folder for each file type.

The aforementioned configurations can be saved for each device. If you plug in a device at a later date, you may select it from a sub-menu, through a system tray icon and click a button to start copying your files. Alternatively, you may set Ashampoo Media Sync to start synchronizing automatically, without any user input, when a specific device is connected. Known devices are listed on a small window, on which you may click a few check boxes, next to their entry, to synchronize them automatically or to ignore them.

Pros

Files can be copied automatically, from a removable device to the computer, when you plug in your device. The software can "remember" each device and it allows you to configure them separately. All configurations can be made in just a few seconds, without any effort.

Cons

Although it is easy to use, the application could use some help file, to answer a few more questions. Thanks to Ashampoo Media Sync's smart functionality, you only need to connect your mobile phone or other devices to your computer, to copy and sort their contents.
